And now...
I live in California, just north of San Francisco. My daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons live nearby.
Many of my friends are children’s book writers and illustrators. We get together to read our manuscripts and to give each other encouragement and support.
People often ask if it’s lonely being a writer, or if it takes a lot of discipline to sit down to work. For me, the answer is no. My favorite room in the house is my office. I’m never lonely there because I’m with
my characters.
My little dog, Cody, keeps me company. He sleeps at my feet as I work. I’m glad that I’m a writer. I really can’t imagine being anything else.
